HEALTH FAIR COMMITTEE
Directors: Kelly Lin and Morgan Gee
aphc.hf@gmail.com When: Mondays 5-6 PM Where: SAC Basement |
Interested in our amazing health fairs? Be a part of Health Fair Committee! Here you will learn all about how we organize and plan for our health fairs each quarter which includes helping orient all of our volunteers, getting donations from around L.A., publicizing our event to the target community, and contacting various health screenings, information providers, and physicians. On top of that, we select volunteers each quarter to help direct and manage each of these responsibilities so Health Fair Committee is great way for you to get experience in leadership and be more involved in APHC overall. We would love your help and we are eager to hear any ideas you might have for us, so be on the lookout for signups!

EXTERNAL COMMITTEE
Director: Trinity Vu
aphc.external@gmail.com When: Wednesdays 5-6 PM Where: SAC Conference Room 3 |
Are you interested in learning about pertinent health issues to the API community and presenting that knowledge to the API community? Well, look no further - External Committee is the committee FOR YOU! Here in External Committee, we organize community health workshops and compile resources in the form of posters, take-home resources such as infographics, slide presentations, and in-person demonstrations, all on important health issues affecting the API community. We also contact clinics near our health fairs to connect with them regarding long-term follow up care for our recipients! You can also apply to be a co-head and lead either the design or workshop subcommittees. Meetings will be weekly throughout the quarter. This committee is great if you like designing powerpoints and infographics, want to brush up on your presentation skills, wanting to communicate with clinics to help our recipients, or just are interested in learning more about the public health of the API community!

RESEARCH AND EVALUATIONS COMMITTEE
Director: Anson Cheung aphc.re@gmail.com
When: Wednesdays 6-7 PM Where: SAC Conference Room 1 |
As a member of Research and Evaluations committee, you will be heavily involved in the collection and analysis of the data and information that APHC collects at its many public health events. Not only does this work directly shape how APHC operates to best help the API community, but it is valuable research experience outside of a laboratory setting, culminating in a poster presentation at UCLA's Undergraduate Research Week, and potentially a publication in a peer reviewed journal. If you are more interested in language and communication side of public service, we are also responsible for the design and implementation of the translation workshops and resources used to educate both volunteers and our community recipients. The goals and directions of our projects are shaped by our members, so if you have ideas stop by and suggest them!
